Description
29 South Clerk Street is a four-storey late classical tenement block built around 1850, constructed from ashlar stone and lacking decorative features. The building includes ground floor shops and consists of two blocks with five windows each at nos. 11-19, and a combination of five, six, and three-window arrangements at the slightly elevated nos. 21-29, which face Bernard Terrace. The ground floor of nos. 11-15 and 23-29 is largely original, featuring a dentilled cornice and a well-preserved shop at no. 27. The first floor has architraves and cornices, while the main cornice is located at the third floor level, with a secondary cornice and blocking at the parapet. The roof is slated.
