Redford Bridge, Redford Road, Edinburgh

Redford Bridge, located on Redford Road in Edinburgh, is an early 19th-century triple-arched bridge that spans the Braid Burn. It features cylindrical piers and a raised causeway with parapet walls that extend to the west. The bridge is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble, with a string course that shows some damage in places. The cylindrical piers are adorned with a bracketed string course flanking the principal central arch. There are subsidiary arches on either side, which were obscured by undergrowth as of 2002, and smaller buttresses positioned to the outer left and right. The parapet wall is slightly elevated over these buttresses, and later cast-iron railings are installed between the raised sections of the wall.
