Description

Reginald Fairlie, G Reid & J Smith Forbes, 1921. 3-storey, 7-bay Local Authority tenements of 12 flats each. Rubble with contrasting bull-faced window dressings; harled to top floor. Brick cill-band to 2nd floor. Shallow advanced central entrance bays; central timber panelled door with bracketed canopy; tall arched staircase window all within slightly recessed arch breaking cill-band. Red tile voussoirs to head of arch. Regular fenestration to outer bays; red tile voussoirs to bipartite windows at inner and outer bays of ground floor. Low quadrant links with arched opening, red tile voussoirs, string course, blocked eaves and red pantiled skews.

Predominantly plate glass in timber sash and case windows (formerly 12-pane glazing). Broad-eaved piended roof; grey slate with terracotta ridge tiles. Tall rubble chimney stacks with brick band and cornice; projecting shouldered chimney breast to wallhead breaking eaves.
