Lodge at Castlebrae Business Centre, 40 Peffer Place, Edinburgh

Castlebrae Business Centre, formerly known as Niddrie Marischal School, is a large, International Modern style building designed by Reid and Forbes in 1935. The structure features two-storey, flat-roofed classroom blocks arranged in a quadrangular plan, with a single-storey gymnasium located at the center. Above the main entrance on the north side, there is a tower adorned with Art Deco detailing, which still houses the original school bell. The building includes a stair tower and a three-storey section with vertical slit windows. Notable architectural elements include corniced canopies above the doors, as well as base and cill courses. The exterior is finished with harled reinforced concrete.

Additionally, there is a former dining hall, which serves as a lodge, featuring two storeys and a circular tower at the northwest corner.
