Rutherford's Bar, 3 Drummond Street

Rutherford's Bar, located at 3 Drummond Street, is a public house built in the later part of the 19th century, with possible earlier elements. It is a single-storey, symmetrical building featuring five bays and a unique Classical timber frontage, highlighted by a decorative central wallhead panel. The exterior includes a cill course, cornice, and a fascia with moulded timber lettering, along with a balustraded parapet topped with ball finials at the outer corners. The stallrisers are panelled in timber, and there are transom lights above. Panelled Ionic-style pilasters and decorative mullions divide the bays. The entrance doors, located in the outer bays, are six-panel timber doors. The central decorative wallhead panel is notable for its segmental-arched pediment and fluted pilasters, and it features a moulded horse figurehead along with the lettering 'ESTABLISHED 1834 TRADEMARK'.

Inside, as observed in 2007, the bar retains a decorative scheme from the late 1950s. There are two rooms with decorative cornice plasterwork, suspended timber beams over the bar counter, and a small hatch bar. Some Victorian decorative etched glass is also present.
