Description
The Statue Walk at Torosay Castle on Mull features an Italianate terraced garden and water garden designed by Sir Robert Lorimer, with work beginning in 1897. This area includes 19 limestone statues, which were purchased in Milan around 1900, all mounted on composition stone plinths. The statues consist of four huntsmen, four gardeners, four fishermen, and seven female figures, each depicted in unique poses and adorned with various accessories. The statues are attributed to the workshop of Italian sculptor Antonio Bonazza, who lived from 1698 to 1763.
