81 Millknowe Road, Campbeltown

This mid-19th century house at 81 Millknowe Road is a two-storey, three-bay structure with a nearly symmetrical design, located at the end of a terrace. The walls are roughcast with droved ashlar margins around the openings and corners, all painted, and feature projecting cills.

On the west elevation facing Millknowe Road, there is a paired group at the ground floor consisting of a four-panel timber entrance door with a two-pane fanlight to the right. Above this is a bipartite window, flanked by single windows on either side.

The east elevation at the rear includes a square, two-storey lean-to projection at the center, which is accessed by a curved stone stair with a wrought-iron handrail.

The windows are timber sash and case, with four panes except for the plate glass bipartite window. The roof is covered with grey slate, featuring cast-iron gutters and downpipes, roughcast coped apex stacks with circular cans, and skew copes.

The boundary wall is partially roughcast random rubble and encloses the garden to the street, with a modern wrought-iron gate. There is also a cast-iron circular pillar box located adjacent to the drive entrance.
