Description
Port Ellen Lighthouse, located at Carraig Fhada on Islay, was built in 1832. It has a square plan and stands three storeys tall, featuring a square staircase and a tower positioned at an angle. The exterior is made of painted ashlar stone and has a flat roof. There is a marble tablet with an inscription in verse and the date of construction.
