Description

This house, located on Shore Street in Bowmore, Islay, dates from the later 18th century and features a traditional design. It has two storeys and is constructed of rubble with a rendered front. The building has a gabled slate roof with skews. At the rear, there is a later addition consisting of a one-storey-and-attic wing with a pantile roof extension. Inside, there is a turnpike stair that has a semi-conical roof situated in the re-entrant angle.
