Description
North Lodge at Poltalloch House is a Victorian building dated 1855, designed by William Burn. It has an L-shaped plan and is constructed of rusticated rubble with gabled slate roofs. The lodge features cylindrical chimneys and projecting eaves that reveal exposed timbers. Carved barge-boards are supported on brackets at the corners, and there are bay windows present. A gabled porch is located in the re-entrant angle, with a panel above displaying the date '1855'. The interior has been renovated.
The gateway consists of dressed piers and die-walls with high weathered projecting copes, along with wooden gates.
