Description
The West Wing of The Arch at Torrisdale Castle is a gate-house built in the earlier 19th century. It features a castellated design with two storeys, constructed from ashlar stone. The building has double slate roofs with a gutter located behind, and a crenellated parapet. A pointed archway is present, with the Macalister Coat of Arms displayed above it. The windows include lancets and 'Gothic' styles.
At the rear, there is a stable that forms three sides of a square. This structure is made of rubble and harled, has a gabled roof, and also features crenellation.
