Description
The Bridgend Hotel, located in Bridgend on Islay, is an inn dating from around 1850. It features a plain Victorian design and is constructed over two storeys with harled exterior walls. The building has a gabled roof and exposed timbers in the eaves, along with two gabled porches.
To the south, there is an addition built in coursed rubble that matches the original style, which includes three gabled dormers on the south side.
In the yard to the north, there is a steading that likely dates from the earlier 19th century. This traditional structure is one to two storeys high, made of rubble with a gabled roof and slate covering.
