Description

Briar House is an early 19th-century classical building. It is two stories high and has a harled exterior with a three-window west front. The central bay is slightly advanced and features a porch supported by Doric columns in antis. The windows are architraved and have cornices. On the north front, there is an ashlar bow with a metal balcony. The building has a balustraded parapet and a piended roof, which is platformed with Victorian cast-iron work. At the rear, there is a later two-story back wing that includes dormer heads.
