Description

2 Western Sunnyside in Forfar is a range of single-storey cottages built in the early 19th century, featuring a gable end facing the street (Dundee Loan) in a traditional style. Each cottage is symmetrical with three bays and a central door, and they are deep in plan. The cottages are constructed from stugged and squared sandstone laid in courses, with dressings that have later 19th century stop-chamfered arrises. They have slated roofs with axial ridge stacks and masonry skews. The original four-pane sash and case glazing pattern has largely been lost.
