Description
North Gates at Letham Grange is a rusticated sandstone archway, built around 1890, serving as the northern entrance to the former Letham Grange estate. The entrance features a battlemented parapet that is flanked by circular towers. These three-stage towers include an entrance opening at ground floor level, which has timber boarded doors and narrow openings above, each with hoodmoulds. The towers are crowned with corniced and crenellated parapets. Decorative wrought iron gates lead through the arch, and these gates are adorned with iron name plaques that feature gilded lettering. Stepped and partially crenellated rubble walls extend in a curve from each tower.
