Description
East Lodge at Letham Grange, built in 1887 and designed by Alexander Ross, is a single-storey, L-plan gatelodge in the Greek Revival style. It is made of ashlar sandstone and features pedimented gables with round openings. A stone porch is located in the re-entrant angle, supported by squared columns with fluted detailing and a balustrade. This building served as the former east gatelodge for the Letham Grange estate.
The windows mainly consist of two-pane glazing set in timber sash and case frames, with some openings featuring stone mullions. The lodge has a prominent eaves course, and the roof is covered with slate and fitted with metal rainwater goods.
The adjacent gatepiers were built at the same time and are listed separately.
