Description
The stables at Cortachy Castle are a two-storey structure built in the U-plan style during the second half of the 18th century. The south front features a classic design with an arched pend and a pedimented central bay. The building has projecting end wings that have pointed roofs. It is constructed from ashlar rubble and slate. Notably, there is an armorial stone above the entrance that has remnants of a date, which appears to be from 171?, along with a stone from 1908.
