Description
The property comprises an earlier 19th century farmhouse with a coach house and stable, along with boundary walls and gateposts.
The farmhouse is a 2-storey, L-shaped building of 3 bays. It is constructed of painted rubble masonry, with the east gable harled. Stugged quoins with margined angles are visible, and the roof is slate-covered. The windows are margined and painted, but now have unsympathetic uPVC glazing. Sawtooth coped skews and stugged ashlar end stacks are also present. The south elevation is symmetrical, featuring five stone steps with plain wrought-iron balusters and handrails leading to a central door with a decoratively glazed fanlight and margined reveals, with windows to either side. There are three windows at the first floor, and three roof lights. The west elevation has a gable on the right with a ground floor window to the left and a first-floor window to the right. A slightly recessed bay to the left has a window to the left and a bipartite window to the right, with a single window at the first floor, and two roof lights. A blank lean-to bay is situated far to the left. The north elevation features a later lean-to with a door and window to the left of the main house, a first-floor window, and a roof light. An advanced gable on the right has a ground floor window and two windows to the first floor of the return elevation. A lean-to projects from the gable, with two doors and a truncated stack, a window on the return, and three roof lights. The east gable contains a ground and first-floor window on the left, with a window to the right of the lean-to.
Inside the farmhouse, there is some fielded panelling to the doors and cast-iron balusters on the landing; however, no original chimneypieces remain.
The single-storey, rectangular-plan coach house and stable is located to the northeast. It is built of painted rubble masonry with a slate roof, and has boarded hinged and sliding doors. A large sliding door is on the west side, and three doors are on the south. The stable contains timber trevis and a heck.
Drystone boundary walls enclose the property, with two sets of rounded stone gateposts located at the west.
