115 High Street, Montrose

113 High Street in Montrose is a mid-19th century, three-storey, four-bay classical building made of squared and snecked sandstone. It features a cill cornice on the first floor, a cill band course on the second floor, and a balustrade.

On the west (principal) elevation, there are modern shopfronts on the left and right sides at the ground floor, with a pend in between. The first floor has windows with consoled cornices and shallow pediments on the outer bays. The second floor features windows with plain margins and a balustrade above, which includes pierced disc fretting with angled crosses. The central section has an ashlar parapet adorned with two urns, and the end dies are corbelled and panelled, also topped with urns.

The east elevation shows the main block set back, with two canted dormers and an advanced section above the pend. There is a boarded window on the first floor and a window on the second floor with stained glass. The third part has been altered and is harled, with a piended roof.

The north elevation adjoins 109 High Street, while the south elevation adjoins 119 High Street. The building has four-pane timber sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, a stone skew to the south, and broad brick gablehead stacks. The interior was not seen in 1997.
