Description
St Andrew's Church, located on Glamis Road in Kirriemuir, was designed by Thoms & Wilkie from Dundee in 1903. The church features a late Gothic style with elements of modern movement. Its gable front is made of red coursed rubble with buff dressings and includes three depressed arch windows. The porch has a squat battlemented tower topped with a slated pyramid roof. The flanks are constructed of snecked rubble, and the building has low aisles and a clerestory. The church was re-categorised in 2006 from category B to category C(S) due to its group interest, which includes both the interior and exterior of the building as relevant to its type.
