Description
28, 30, and 32 Bridge Street in Banff are late 19th century buildings featuring two stories and an attic, designed as wide four-bay shops with a dwelling. The front is made of dark local whinstone, accented by contrasting tooled ashlar dressings and long and short margins. The entrance is off-centre and flanked by shops, with no 28 being slightly wider than no 32. The main entrance has a panelled door. The shops retain their original corniced and bracketed fascia, which is supported by slender cast-iron columns. The first-floor outer bays have bipartite windows, while the centre features a gablet with a segmental-headed window that has a corniced lintel. The outer bays also have canted slate-hung wallhead dormers. The windows are plate glass timber sash and case glazing. The buildings have corniced end stacks and a slate roof.
