Description

Keig House, also known as the Manse of Keig, is a two-story, three-window house built in 1834. The structure is constructed from squared granite, featuring chamfered openings. Notable architectural details include crowsteps and a Tudor hoodmould over the entrance door. The house was repaired and altered in 1866 under the direction of J. Russel Mackenzie. Contracts for the original construction were advertised in the Aberdeen Journal on August 13, 1834, and further details can be found in the Heritors' Records.
