Description

The Dovecot at the House of Leask is a mid-18th century structure that was restored in 1981. It is an unusual, tall, square-plan dovecot featuring a voussoired segmentally-arched window. There is an alighting ledge or string course located close to the eaves, just below a row of flight holes. The roof is piended, slated, and topped with a ball finial. The building is constructed from roughly squared and snecked pink granite rubble, with squared rubble quoins.
