Description

The Stables at Pitfour House Estate is a building designed by John Smith shortly after 1820. It is a two-storey structure with a low first floor, built in a U-shape using pinned rubble that was formerly harled, with granite dressings. The centerpiece features a segmental arch with three recessed panels, which is enclosed in antis and topped with a pediment that has a wooden Doric cupola above. The building has a low-pitched roof, which is now covered with asbestos, behind a blocking course.
