Description

The New Bridge, known as Hewelts of Kennethmont, was constructed between 1852 and 1854 by Alex Gibb. It is a bridge built of coursed rubble stone, spanning both a railway line and the Water of Bogie. The bridge features a semi-elliptical arch over the railway and a semi-circular arch over the river. Broad, battered buttresses are centrally located. The bridge is situated within the Rhynie Parish.
