Description

This is a former mason’s lodge, constructed between 1822 and 1845. It is a two-storey, three-window building. The front elevation is harled (roughcast), with no window margins, while the remainder is built of exposed split boulder rubble. Windows are widely spaced, and the lodge has coped chimneys. Original sash windows with glazing remain in place, although a modern porch has been added. References to the lodge appeared in the Huntly Express newspaper in 1966.
