Description
The Manse of Trinity and Alvah Church, located on Castle Street in Banff, was built in 1845 by A & W Reid from Elgin. This two-storey, three-bay house features a rear wing that creates an L-shaped plan. The exterior is harled with painted tooled ashlar margins. The central door is topped with a bracketed cornice, and there are canted bay windows on the ground floor, with regular first-floor windows that have blocked sills. At the rear, there is a two-storey, two-bay wing that includes a later garage added to the south elevation. The bay windows have plate glass and 4-pane glazing, while other windows feature 12-pane glazing. The house has corniced end stacks and a slate roof.
