Description

The monument to the Fourth Earl of Aberdeen, located on the Hill of Ythsie, was built between 1861 and 1862. It features a square tower constructed from coursed red granite with dressed quoins. The lower stage of the tower is steeply battered, and it has a corbelled and crenellated parapet, which includes a single crenel on each face.
