Description

Dated 1869, Mains Of Cowie Farmhouse is a single-storey and attic T-plan farmhouse situated on a prominent site. The front façade features two windows and a broad-eaved gabled porch in the centre, with a single window and an armorial shield to the front, and a door on the flank. The house has a slated mansard roof, broad-eaved at the gables, with two dormers centred above the windows below, and partially recessed into the roof, partially below the wallhead. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble, with the gable on the right having a lean-to outshot, and a rear wing featuring two doors, a window, and a dormer on its eastern flank.
