Description

Remains of 18th century mansion house lay-out. Of centre

house only front wall remains with moulded door-piece

and fine 1705 cartouche over, has been 5-window; short

quadrant links to wings N. (gardener's house) wing

single-storey completely reconstructed with jerkin-head

gables; S. wing single-storey and attic badly reconstructed

with tall roof and porch; Venetian survives in E. gable.

Walker and Duncan 1912. 2-storey outbuilding dated 1723

I.F. M.F. Harled with chamfered margins, skew putts.

Large walled garden on axis of house, W. gate also on

axis John Smith c. 1820.

Garden wall re-harled 1967.
