Description

The Sluice Bridges at Port Elphinstone in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, were designed by John Rennie and built between 1796 and 1805. The structure features one larger segmental arch equipped with sluices, alongside a smaller arch made with iron plated voussoirs. There is also a small arch with remnants of a sluice positioned at right angles. The bridges are constructed from block granite ashlar.
