Description

The James Mitchell Memorial in Kemnay was built in 1936 as a memorial to James Mitchell (1773-1857), a former carrier. The memorial features a well and urn constructed from red granite, surmounted by a square superstructure of grey granite. The superstructure bears a pedestrian statue of Mitchell. A hemicyclical area is enclosed by railings and gatepiers.
