This building, located at 167 and 169 Union Street in Aberdeen, dates from around 1870 and is a three-storey structure with an attic. It features three bays facing Union Street, along with a canted angle bay and a return elevation to Bridge Street. The building is constructed of granite and has modern shops at street level, including a wide door at the corner.

The first-floor windows have curved angles and are paired, with a stilted design above the canted angle bay that includes a bracketed balcony and a central pier. The second-floor windows are segmental headed, also paired, and feature a small balcony at the angle. A simple cornice runs along the top, and there are three pilastered dormers with segmental heads. The angle features a tripartite design with a shaped gable, flanked by tall corniced stacks. The roof is a slated mansard style.
