Description

The Bridge of Don in Aberdeen was originally designed by John Smith and modified by Thomas Telford between 1827 and 1830. It features five segmental arches with refuge cutwaters, constructed from bullfaced masonry and topped with ashlar parapets. The bridge was widened between 1958 and 1960, during which the original structure was duplicated.
