This is a small, terraced house located on St Mary’s Street, Newry. Likely built between 1860 and 1879, it appears on valuation records from 1880, representing a new construction on the site of an earlier house. The building is notable as one of the few unassuming structures in the area that has remained largely unaltered. It is constructed of random granite rubble with brick dressings at the eaves. The street elevation features a segmental-headed door with tongue-and-groove boarding to the left, and a sliding sash window with a wrought iron grill to the right. A 2/2 sliding sash window, aligned with the window below, is located on the first floor. All windows have granite sills. While not possessing specific architectural or historical significance, the house’s presence is valued within the context of the surrounding conservation area.
