St. Comgall'S Church, Dromore, Knockcloghrim, Magherafelt, Co.Londonderry, (Aka Desertmartin Parish Church.)

St. Comgall's Church, also known as the Desertmartin Parish Church, was constructed between 1820 and 1821. The church replaced an earlier building which stood closer to the centre of Desertmartin village, near Knocknagin. This earlier church is believed to have been built before 1622, possibly in the mid-15th century, but was abandoned due to flooding from the Grange Water. The construction of the current church was assisted by a loan of £800 from the Board of First Fruits, an organization that supported the building of Anglican churches and rectories between 1711 and 1834. The architect for the 1820-21 building is currently unknown.

In 1869, a north transept and robing room were added, designed by the architects Joseph Welland and William Gillespie, who then held the joint positions of architects to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, the body that succeeded the Board of First Fruits. The nearby rectory, dating from 1831, stands nearby (25 Dromore Rd). The listing includes the church's walling.
