Fountain, Opposite 216 Coast Road, Ballygalley, Larne, Co. Antrim

The fountain, situated opposite 216 Coast Road, Ballygalley, Larne, Co. Antrim, was constructed between 1920 and 1939. It is a cast iron fountain of a plain design, featuring a fluted column and a fluted cap topped with an acorn finial. The base of the column bears the inscription "Glenfield." Notably, the fountain holds group value alongside the other listed fountains in Ballygalley. The fountain was located on the seaward side of the Coast Road and was still functioning at the time of a 1997 description. It was not marked on Ordnance Survey maps from 1903 or 1930. The fountain was removed around the end of 2006. It possesses industrial archaeological interest.
