Description
The Hanna Locks are a series of locks on the Lagan Navigation in Lisburn, situated within the Island Civic Centre complex. The site is now a scheduled monument (ANT:068500). The lock keeper’s dwelling that originally stood at the site has been demolished to facilitate the new civic centre’s construction. This building was initially surveyed as part of the First Survey but was not listed at that time. A partial record was subsequently created during the Second Survey following its demolition. The site represents a former canal structure with no architectural or historical interest assigned. It is not currently listed.
