This is a single-storey, one-room lobby entry house, likely built between 1820 and 1839. It retains a thatched roof that is now covered with corrugated iron. The stone walls are finished with whitened harling on the front elevation and a cement dressing at the rear. The roughcast chimney over the hearth is topped with a concrete capping and features one pot.

The front elevation includes a windbreak porch, which is an extension of the corrugated iron roof and finished with whitened roughcast. Above the timber entrance door is a timber fascia. To the left of the porch are two timber-framed, plain-glazed windows divided into two horizontally; these are fixed lights without sills. At the rear, a single timber-framed window is divided horizontally in a proportion of 1:2 and is also a fixed light without a sill.

Historical records show the building was part of a short terrace on the 1833 Ordnance Survey map, accompanied by two small outbuildings. Two further outbuildings were added by 1858. Originally part of the Alexander Lennox estate, the one-room house was once extended to include a byre and bedroom above, which have since been removed. The property is located on Lisnoe Road, approximately one and three-quarter miles south-west of the centre of Lisburn, situated less than half a mile off the road to the north-west. The building's survival as an occupied one-room house is considered unique, and retention of details like the hearth and roof timbers is noted as important.
