Description
Lakeview, also known as the Balance Home, was a two-storey, three-bay house with vernacular origins and an unusual two-storey porch. It was situated in a farm setting on the north side of Lisburn Road in Glenavy, County Antrim. The building has been demolished, and a replacement dwelling now occupies the site. It was initially surveyed during the First Survey but not formally listed. A partial record of the building was subsequently created during the Second Survey following its demolition. The listing record notes the building’s former use as a house, its current status as demolished, and confirms that it is not listed, nor does it hold notable architectural or historical interest.
