68 Boho Road, Samsonagh, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, BT74 5EN

This is a single-story, three-bay, direct entry stone-built thatched house. It is located at the end of a long lane, approximately a mile and a half from the road connecting Boho and Monea, in the townland of Samsonagh, near Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. The building faces north-east and was likely constructed sometime after 1857, as it is not depicted on an Ordnance Survey map from that year. It is considered to be of local interest and notable for its rarity.

Architecturally, the house retains its original plan and proportions, despite substantial degradation resulting from a lack of maintenance. The thatched roof, formerly held in place with cement skews, is now lost. Two stone chimneys, one serving the kitchen hearth, remain. The removal of the plaster finish reveals the stonework was built to rough courses, with the front elevation featuring large cut stone quoins at the extremities. The original entrance door, situated within a windbreak porch, is now missing, and the lean-to roof has collapsed. The window openings, one to the south-east of the porch and two to the right, show only vestiges of the original woodwork, although sills of traditional depths remain. Two small window openings are present in the rear wall.

A stone-built outbuilding, with a curved corrugated iron roof and timber sheeted door, abuts the south-east gable of the house. The building was surveyed in 1975 and 1987, with no significant alterations recorded between those dates. It was occupied during the 1987 survey but was reported as uninhabitable in 1994. The house remains capable of restoration.
