This is a single-storey, four-bay, direct entry thatched house built between 1820 and 1839, situated in the townland of Drumnasreane, near Garrison, County Fermanagh. The building exhibits vernacular architecture and is notable for its thatched roof and overall survival.

The house is constructed of whitened stone and faces north-east, set back from the road behind a hedge and lawn, approximately two and a half miles from Garrison village. The roof is thatched between concrete parapet gables, featuring three rows of scallops at the ridge and one at the eaves. Corbelled chimneystacks rise from each gable, and a further stack is positioned above the kitchen hearth; no chimney pots are present. The main entrance is provided by a timber-framed and sheeted door with small door blocks on either side. To the left (south-east) of the entrance are three vertically sliding windows with horizontal divisions of sashes, curved sash stops, and sills of traditional depths. A single window is positioned to the right of the entrance. The rear elevation features four similar windows, with the kitchen window having vertically divided sashes. A pair of stores with a pitched concrete roof abuts the north-west gable, accessed by sheeted doors on both the front and rear.

The house retains its original layout and features, including windows, doors, a fireplace, and a sheeted ceiling in the kitchen. A bathroom has been incorporated, considered an acceptable addition within the existing structure. The roof structure incorporates cut woodwork that supports traditional construction above, including a bed of scraws.

The thatch has been maintained through several renovations: it was re-thatched in 1985 and repaired in 1987 by Gerry Agnew using straw; flax was used by Gerry Agnew in 1991 to re-thatch the rear slope and repair the front of the roof; further patching occurred in 1996 by Master Thatchers, and in 1997 and 2003, re-thatching and repairs were carried out by Frank Gilligan. The house is depicted on the 1834 Ordnance Survey map. This building exhibits architectural interest in terms of style, proportion, ornamentation, plan form, the quality and survival of its interior, and its setting. The property also holds local historical interest due to its rarity as a surviving thatched vernacular dwelling.
