Description

A single-span road bridge, built c.1820, carrying Sloughan Road over The Black Water at Sloughan Glen. Squared-and-snecked rockfaced granite abutments and spandrels; replacement concrete parapets are roughcast to carriageway; square drainage channels to north and south. Single segmental-headed arch with dressed rockfaced voussoirs. Arch soffit is squared-and-snecked granite. The carriageway is approximately 5m wide, carrying road over glen with river beneath. Setting Steep riverbank bounded at all sides by timber fence; at north-west, access to pedestrian path leading to waterfall at west. Roof N/A Walling granite Windows N/A RWG N/A
