Description
The site of Clare Park represents the footprint of a long, linear country house built in multiple phases. The core of the house dates back to the 1690s, with substantial extensions added during the 18th and 19th centuries. Originally owned by the MacDonnells, and later by the McGildowny family, the country house, along with its gate lodge and outbuildings, was demolished in the later 20th century. No physical remains are present on the site. A survey was conducted to record the former layout as part of a D1 record.
