Description
This is a two-and-a-half-story, two-bay terrace house with a basement, likely built around the 1880s. It possesses group value when considered alongside the adjacent building at HB05/14/010A.
The house has a simple facade with a four-panelled front door, featuring a central door knob and knocker above a rectangular fanlight. The door is framed by plain, narrow pilasters, a plain frieze, and a cornice. To the right of the door is a double-hung sliding sash window with two panes. The first floor has two double-hung sliding sash windows, also with two panes each, centered on the width of the building's facade. The walls are smooth, rendered, and painted, with a painted plinth. The building has a half-round metal gutter and a natural slate roof with a ridge chimneystack. Two dormers are present, gabled with open fretwork barges and finials that match those found on the neighbouring property at number 31.
The rear of the building features a shallow back return with a flat roof. The rear walls are finished with smooth rendering and are unpainted, with a collection of windows and a single, off-center dormer window that is gabled with bargeboards, containing windows with two unequal panes. Number 33 is similar to number 31, but lacks a shopfront. The building received improvement grant funding in 1987. It is located within the Town Parks townland and is situated within a conservation area.
