Description
A two storey three bay stone built house with modern two storey back return. The roof is natural slated with gables, each with chimney. On the entrance front the entrance door has a plain elliptical fanlight ground floor windows sliding sash with 12 panes, centre panes slightly wider, first floor narrower and less height and with nine similar panes. Above the entrance door a narrower pointed window still with cill raised above the other so that a pediment is formed in roof to accommodate it and the barge board intriguingly decorated. The pink sandstone is partially ashlar and rubble with carefully cut stones over window and door heads. Cills are of sandstone. Gable walls with good overhanging barges and rear wall similarly treated though openings are brick trimmed and those in the gables appear to be recent insertions and fitted with modern timber windows. The back return is smooth rendered and in each angle of it two conservatories have been erected. One acts as a porch to the rear door. Behind the house is a fine pink sandstone built low barn with slated roof and having a similar length to the house. The house is set back from the side of the road with pedestrian gate with pathway leading directly to entrance with garden on either side and around the house.
