Description

Site on the E side of Frederick Street of a block of two, two storey gabled houses, demolished [?]c.1985-90 with site now occupied by a car park adjoining a modern building. A small section the N gable appears to have survived. The houses previously on the site had an overall late Victorian appearance, with red brick facades and yellow brick courses, with the N gable in rubble with brick dressings. First Survey Record: 2 storey block with attic. Roof slated, gable ends. Chimneys yellow brick. Front wall brick with yellow brick moulding. Eaves course and other courses at frieze, first floor and ground floor windows. Left/hand gable of stone rubble with brick dressings to 2 attic windows - double/hung, no astragals and 5 centre arch head. Front has 4 first floor double/hungwindows, no astragals. Gd floor has recent panelled door with fanlight - recent flush door with plain fanlight - window as above - panelled door with plain fanlight - double/hung window as abnove. Condition fair. Frontage about 40ft.
