The site represents the former location of a house, likely dating to the 1870s, which was demolished around 1995. Situated on the side of Ballygelagh Road, south of Kirkistown, the house originally presented a formal front façade and featured a decorated door surround. The building was a two-storey structure with a single-storey extension to the left and a single-storey projection at the rear. It had an asbestos-slated roof with gabled ends and yellow brick chimneys. Three first-floor and two ground-floor window openings were blocked. The front façade featured a segmental arch above the doorway, with a decorated keystone. The walls were rendered and lined, with a base course. The central doorway included pilasters, a lintol, a cornice, and a blocking course, all adorned with decorative motifs along the lintol, blocking course, and the pilaster frieze. A blocked, panelled door with an oblong fanlight completed the entrance. The front of the building measured approximately 33 feet. The site was shown on Ordnance Survey maps of 1834 and c.1860; however, the house visible on these maps may have been superseded by the structure demolished in 1995. Remaining on the site are various gabled outbuildings that surround a grass-covered area marking the footprint of the previous house. Records from 1835 and 1863, alongside Ordnance Survey maps, document the site.
