Description
The remains of a cast iron pump, likely dating to the late nineteenth century (approximately 1880-1899), are located on the north-west side of Main Street, Carrowdore. The pump has been largely removed, with only a small section of its base remaining. It probably replaced an earlier pump. A photograph taken circa 1910-1915 (reference UFTM W.A. Green Collection WAG 1067) shows the pump in its original location. The surviving fragments are considered to possess industrial archaeological interest.
