Description
The site represents the remains of a former country house, built in two distinct phases. A large two-to-three-storey wing survives as a remnant of a mansion built in the 1820s, and possibly earlier, which was largely destroyed by fire in 1844. A two-storey over basement front section was then added between 1880 and 1899. The house was demolished in the 2000s and replaced with a new residence located a short distance to the southwest. Significant portions of the basement level of the original 1820s house remain in place.
